Apex Legends is available from early February, but it is only later this month that Season 1 will officially begin at the release of the first battle pass of the game. That is composed of, among other things, a new character, and the first Battle Pass legend leaked thanks to an incorrect update to the Original store. Developer Respawn Entertainment now acknowledges that the mistake has happened, but also warning fans do not place too much stock on datamines and releases that appear to reveal other new characters and content.
In an update to Reddit, community manager Jay Frechette recognizes there is an "accidental update about Season 1 on Origin today." That proves that the leak is legitimate. But Frechette said the team wanted to clarify and set expectations given both to leak and earlier in data processing, which could be misleading or wrong.
"There are many things that have been datamined from the Apex since launching and rolling around the Internet," Frechette says. "We know that these things are fun to dig and think about, but you should not regard any of that information as a source of truth. There are things there that are really old, or things we've tried in the past and cut- Remember that our design is the paradigm and play a lot of ideas ̵
the statement does not appear to apply to Origin leak which is revealed to the next character as Octane. Nor does it make sense for the Source to have an advertisement ready to go for a new character if it is still in trial and undergoing change. But the statement warns users not to put too much stock into dat information. That said, do not expect fans to stop digging this kind of thing and potentially opening information about what's coming; On the other hand, despite its huge success (or perhaps because of it), it continues to cooperate with the same type of release.
Aside from Octane's disclosure, the leak also mentions new weapons and loot, and a battle price of 950 Apex Coins nearly $ 10). If that's the case, give bonus coins given to EA members and Origin Access to be used to buy the battle.
Meanwhile, Respawn recently banned 355,000 cheaters on PC, and detailed plans for dealing with cheaters in the future. It does not add a reconnect feature, though, due to the intensity of resources and opportunities for exploited by cheaters. It's a lucky plan to deal with people who spammy and leave matches at the start, though it does not share any details to prevent the players from happening more.
