HBO's Game of Thrones end in the eighth and final stages this Sunday, but what will happen to the creators of the show D.B. Are Weiss and David Benioff done? Aside from a new trilogy of Star Wars movies for Disney, Weiss and Benioff are currently visiting studios looking for big "general" deals.
By Deadline, Weiss and Benioff met six "big media companies" for new "general" deals covering TVs, films, and streaming projects that they could write, direct, and create. The words in the mix are HBO, Disney, Comcast, Netflix, Amazon, and Apple, according to Deadline.
Of course, Weiss and Benioff have partnered with HBO and Disney for Game of Thrones and Star Wars, respectively, to affect negotiations. According to the deadline, the duo did not seek to "make a decision." Due to the overwhelming success of the Game of Thrones, it seems like Weiss and Benioff have certain bargaining power.
Total deals can be useful. For example, comedy legend Michael Schur pays $ 25 million a year to stay in NBC, while Gray's Anatomy producer Shonda Rhimes pays $ 1
In addition to the Star Wars series, The first movie which was scheduled to premiere in 2022, Weiss and Benioff are working on the controversial HBO show Confederate.
