Google remembers its economic benefits on its selective homepage

But you do not have to type a search query.

Google puts a link to the front and information center on its Google.com landing page, one of the most visited internet pages.

On Friday, tech giant started advocating so-called state-impact reports on Google.com. The links to the reports are one of several pieces of information on select spoiled white pages except the search box and the "Feeling Lucky" button.

Reports are localized, and what shows depends on the state where you live. In San Francisco, for example, Google is linked to the California economic report, which shows statistics such as how many billions of dollars have helped the giant techo and how many hundreds of thousands of businesses get its ads tool.

Google's decision to lobby for its own name is a delightful timing, given by President Donald Trump's ongoing barrage social-media platforms, including Google's YouTube. Only this week, the White House released a tool to report media bias in media and censorship on platforms like YouTube and Facebook.

Many Democratic candidates in the 2020 presidential race swear to increase the regulation of "Big Tech" companies like Google, Facebook, and Apple.

In his quarterly conference call earnings in October, CEO Sundar Pichai took the time to talk about investing in the US economy, a conversation story that has now become a standard part of the quarterly talks of the company's investors. The White House has made an online tool for Facebook and Twitter users to report examples of political and censorship bias

Based on online records, it appears that Google has created annual national economy-an effective report every year since at least 2009. A Google spokesperson did not immediately respond to Business Insider questions about whether this is the first time that it shows impact reports on the Google homepage. com.

Google occasionally places the links under its search box to promote major events, such as the address of the Union State of the US president, and advertise its own products, such as Pixel phones. But economic impact reports seem to be a certain nature for such heavily visited consumer centers.

The Friday's decision to release the report is just a reminder of how much power and reach Google should be spreading a message on its own behalf.
