NVIDIA's GeForce RTX lineup that has completed GeForce RTX 2060 and NVIDIA is now moving to offer more affordable graphics cards under their GeForce GTX family. Featuring the same architecture of the Turing GPU, new GeForce GTX graphics cards will not exclude Ray Tracing but feature faster performance shots through enhanced GPU design while using the node of the 12nm process.

The latest releases came from Videocardz which not only managed to track some online listings but The pictures also got the first package of a custom design from an APAC AIB (Add-in-board) partner. The card in question is the GALAX GeForce GTX 1660 Ti which is a custom model that offers dual fan cooler and OC capabilities. The card is mentioned featuring 6 GB GDDR6 VRAM, DirectX 12 support, ANSEL support and there are also "Turing Shaders" which somewhat certify that these cards will utilize the current architecture of the Turing GPU.

  • What's interesting here is that packaging does not mention ray tracing at all which is a high light in GeForce RTX series packing. It also confirms the second detail we know about these cards that they do not feature Ray Tracing cores or do not have the necessary strength to run games that enable ray tracking.
